Pentacam ®/Corneal Topography in Berlin

The Pentacam® is a non-invasive, painless imaging technique for mapping the surface curvature of the cornea, the outer structure of the eye. The device is able to measure all important details of the cornea in less than 2 seconds. Since the cornea is normally responsible for approximately 70% of the eye’s refractive power, its topography is of critical importance in determining the quality of vision and corneal health. Additionally it can be perfectly used for diagnostics and detection of keratokonus. A final diagnosis of keratokonus can only be done by using corneal topography.
